Rachel Tobey Walsh, M.D.
Dr. Rachel Tobey Walsh is a native Texan, having grown up in Fort Worth and attended Fort Worth Country Day School. She completed her undergraduate studies at Harvard University, where she graduated summa cum laude and was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa honor society. She obtained her medical degree at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, where she received the Kenneth E. Appel Award for her "highest devotion to the care and treatment of patients", and the Joel Gordon Miller Award for "the most significant contribution to the student body". Dr. Walsh completed an internship in general adult psychiatry at the University of California, San Francisco, and an internship and residency in internal medicine at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas. She is board certified in the field of internal medicine.
Dr. Walsh provides comprehensive and compassionate health care to patients ages 16 and older. She values preventative medicine and fostering both physical and emotional health in her patients. She is an appointed member of the medical staff at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas and serves on the hospital's Clinical Information Committee. Dr. Walsh is a member of the American College of Physicians, American Medical Association, Texas Medical Association and Dallas County Medical Society.
When not caring for patients, Dr. Walsh enjoys spending time with her husband, Steve, and her extended family in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Her favorite pastimes include foreign travel, reading fiction, attending Broadway musicals and walking her dog.
